Le Caraïbéen is an independent news outlet covering Haiti and the Caribbean region, while also keeping a close eye on international news that concerns the diaspora. Our mission is to inform rigorously, to give a voice to local actors and to offer coverage that goes beyond the simplistic narratives too often associated with the region.

Our vision is of a Caribbean press that speaks directly to its readers, in Haiti and in the diaspora alike, without relying solely on the lens of international media. We believe that quality journalism, available in several languages, is an essential tool for understanding the issues facing the region.
